StreamSprite avatar
Everything you need

A whole VTuber-lite studio, minus the complexity.

Set up in minutes. No bones, no timelines, no rigging.

Mic-reactive mouth

Your character's mouth moves with your voice in real time. Voice-focus mode cuts background noise and keyboard clicks.

Your own art

Upload transparent PNG frames — you only need a closed and open mouth to start. It falls back gracefully for anything you skip.

Drops into OBS

A transparent, always-on-top overlay you capture as one clean window. Green-screen mode too, for any setup.

Custom states + hotkeys

Make your own states — name them, give them art, bind any key. Flip to BRB, rage, or coffee mid-stream.

Alive, not static

Idle float, breathing, bounce and a talking bob. Random blinking. Subtle motion that makes it feel like a little creature.

Optional head-tracking

Turn on the webcam and your avatar leans and looks with your head. Mic-only works perfectly without it.

Take a look inside

A clean, native Mac app.

No clutter. Everything a page or two away.

FAQ

Good questions.

What do I need to make a character?+

Transparent PNG frames of your character at the same canvas size. The bare minimum is a closed mouth and an open mouth; add small/medium/wide, blink and expressions for more life.

Does it work with OBS?+

Yes. Start the overlay, then add a Window Capture in OBS and pick the “StreamSprite Overlay” window. There's a transparent mode and a green-screen mode for chroma keying.

Do I need a webcam?+

No. Mic-only works great — your voice drives the mouth. Head-tracking with a webcam is an optional extra for leaning and looking.

Which Macs are supported?+

macOS 13 (Ventura) and later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel. It's a signed, notarized universal app.

Is it really one payment?+

Yes. $20 once, no subscription. Updates are free through the app's built-in updater.

Can I sell characters I make?+

A creator marketplace is on the way — you'll be able to list and sell your sprite packs. For now, you can export characters as a single file to share or back up.
